Kid's Shows coming to Wyre’s theatres

If you’re looking for things to do with the kids this summer be sure to check out the great line up of family friendly shows coming to Wyre’s two theatres - Marine Hall and Thornton Little Theatre.
First up at Marine Hall is family favourites The Chuckle Brothers on Friday 29 May. Dorothy, The Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and the Scarecrow are among the familiar characters who join the Wizards, Paul and Barry, for this sensational new version of the classic Wizard of Oz story.
Audiences will get a unique glimpse into the Emerald City in a show packed with
all the ingredients that make for a family fun packed show including audience
participation, laugh – out – loud comedy and spectacular sets, costumes and
special effects.
The show starts at 2pm and tickets are £14 or £52 for a family of four ticket.
Next up at Marine Hall is The Basil Brush Show – The Full on Fox Tour. Basil Brush is a star
with an outstanding ability to entertain and make people of all ages laugh and
smile. He’s cheeky, irreverent, charming, naughty, quick-witted, scheming and
foxy, but at the same time he’s kind, caring and affectionate.
Basil has celebrated over 50 years in entertainment and The Basil Brush Show on
BBC TV has been seen by millions of viewers all over the globe from 1968
through to today. The show was BAFTA nominated and voted best comedy show on
TV.
Now, Britain's most loveable fox is back on the road along with his TV chum Mr
Stephen (aka Chris Pizzey). Together they will take you on a journey of laughs,
storytelling and song in a brand new specially written live stage show packed
with fun and excitement.
Come and join in the mayhem, along with Mr Stephen who is continually
interrupted by naughty uncontrollable Basil. It’s a show for all the family and
you’ll also be able to meet Basil and Mr Stephen after the show.
There’s two performances on Friday 7 August at 11am and 2.30pm. Tickets are £13
for adults, £11 for children and family of four tickets are £38.
Rounding things up over at Thornton Little Theatre is Marty Macdonald’s Farm with a brand new show – Pongo’s Party on Friday
28 August. Voiced by CBeebies’ Justin Fletcher – come and meet Pongo the pig,
Sheena the sheep and Molly-Moo the cow in this fun interactive show for kids.
It’s the day that Pongo the Pig has been waiting for - that's right, it's his birthday! He's been dropping hints to his friends all year so is looking forward to a fantastic party... but the trouble is, nobody seems to remember! Molly-Moo the Cow is making a mess baking, Sheena the Sheep is rehearsing with her band, Crafty the Crow is in the middle of decorating and even Marty MacDonald is tied up with his parcels - whatever can they be up to?
Come and help make Pongo's Party a day to remember, by joining in a show full
of fun, songs and laughter – take part in the town’s biggest ever game of
pass-the-parcel and join the theatre's largest ever children's band!
The show takes place at 2pm and tickets are just £9.
